LEADERSHIP FLORIDA BOARD OF DIRECTORS SELECTS THE GRAYROBINSON LABOR & EMPLOYMENT ATTORNEY TO LEADERSHIP FLORIDA'S 28TH CLASS

MIAMI (August 3, 2009) -- Marlene Quintana, a Labor & Employment attorney in the Miami office of GrayRobinson P.A., has been selected by Leadership Florida's Board of Directors to participate in Leadership Florida's 28th Class - an exclusive program designed to provide participants with essential and pertinent information benefitting their professional and civic leadership.

"GrayRobinson is very proud to recognize this major accomplishment for Marlene Quintana and values the diversity her leadership contributes to her professional and civic work," said GrayRobinson President Byrd F. "Biff" Marshall. "GrayRobinson is committed to supporting its attorneys at every step of their professional development and encourages each individual to achieve their own success by continuing to produce quality work that is aligned with the firm's core values."

Founded by the Florida Chamber of Commerce in 1982, Leadership Florida builds statewide community among individual leaders by producing forward thinking leadership development programs, allowing participants to create a powerful resource for Florida through the Leadership Florida Institute. To date, more than 1,000 Florida leaders have committed themselves to enhancing their communities as well as the community of Florida through Leadership Florida's programs.

As a member of the 28th Class, Quintana will have an opportunity to attend The Annual Class Program during an eight-month curriculum, meeting in six different cities across Florida. In 2009, the program will include educational sessions about Florida's history, trends and emerging issues. In addition, participants will further develop their leadership skills and "thought leader" network by participating in additional forums.

As an "AV" rated attorney who is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law and a Certified Civil Circuit Mediator, Quintana's practice of more than 13 years focuses on labor and employment law matters for private and public employers, including federal civil rights issues, collective bargaining and union matters, non-competition issues, and other federal and state employment issues such as the Family and Medical Leave Act, The Fair Labor Standards Act, and state whistleblower laws. In addition to her professional work, Quintana is involved in her community through programs with Miami Bridge, the Cuban American Bar Association, the Latin Builders Association, and the Academy of Florida Management Attorneys.
