GrayRobinson is pleased to share Regulated Products Section Chair Richard Blau participated in "Adapting Today, Thriving Tomorrow: Responding to Demographic Shifts and Trends" session at the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS) Annual Conference in Washington, D.C.
During the session, Richard explored how shifting demographics, evolving social habits, and changing consumer preferences impact the spirits industry. It examined how different generations—Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Boomers—approach socializing and alcohol consumption alongside broader economic and policy changes. Panelists shared insights, emerging trends, and strategic planning advice to help businesses navigate these transformations.
The DISCUS Annual Conference is a premier event for the spirits industry, featuring discussions on key issues, such as regulatory challenges, consumer trends, and industry innovation.
Richard presides over GrayRobinson’s regulated products practice and oversees the firm’s legal guidance, compliance, and support services for the alcohol beverage, cannabis, food, and tobacco products industries. He and his colleagues focus on the rules, regulations, and business practices that govern the marketing, sale, and consumption of distilled spirits, wine, beer, and other licensed beverages.
