Creative, communicative lawyer helping alcohol beverage brands launch, grow, and thrive. Known for meticulously crafted agreements and a spirited grasp of disruptive technologies.
Hannah Becker has a true passion for the legal and operational aspects of the alcohol beverage industry and collaborates with clients in all three tiers working to launch, grow, and thrive in the U.S. marketplace. A high-energy lawyer with a meticulous eye for detail, her clients include manufacturers, importers, wholesalers, retailers, other licensees, breakthrough brands, and unlicensed third-party providers. She is well-credentialed in this dynamic and continuously evolving sector, with a spirited grasp on product classification, licensure and permitting, business aspects and considerations, including value and market potential, labeling, advertising, trade practice considerations, Tied-House and cross-tier issues, alcohol franchise laws, and the emerging technologies impacting the future of sales and distribution.
Hannah brings exceptional practical experience in drafting and negotiating pivotal agreements, particularly distribution agreements and importation agreements on behalf of alcohol manufacturers, importers, and wholesalers, and providing regulatory and licensing support for transformative mergers and acquisitions in the hospitality industry. She helps clients remain relevant by staying steps ahead of market trends and disruptive technologies, including sales facilitation, delivery apps and platforms, A.I., and mobile Driver's Licenses (mDL) and digital IDs. She also regularly conducts label reviews for food, low-ABV ready-to-drink (RTD) products, and non-alcoholic beverages regulated by the FDA, which have exploded into the marketplace in recent years, as well as alcohol products regulated by the TTB.
Known for her amiable and hospitable approach, Hannah advises clients on all aspects of licensure and registration, regulatory compliance, taxation, importation, distribution, marketing, land use and zoning, and sales and consumption of not only alcohol beverages but also other regulated products, including food, tobacco, fuel, lottery and gaming, and hemp at the federal, state, and local levels.
Hannah’s diverse background in the hospitality industry informs her regulated products work. She embraces a service philosophy through timely and thoughtful responses to client inquiries and understands what it means to cultivate and grow both boutique and marquee brands. She frequently teams with GrayRobinson colleagues in the corporate, government affairs, intellectual property, and land use and zoning practices to deliver comprehensive legal and regulatory support for clients.
