Terry concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial real estate, real estate asset-based lending, real estate development, problem loans and workouts, and land use and zoning. He has enjoyed an AV rating, the highest available from Martindale-Hubbell, since 1978.  Terry was honored by Florida Super Lawyers and Florida Trend’s “Legal Elite” and also by Best Lawyers in America from 2006-2025. He was a member of the Jacksonville Housing Commission and Jacksonville Housing Finance Authority (or its successor) from July 2000 through May 2008 and has a conversational knowledge of Spanish.

  Terry was born in Auburn, New York, and grew up in Central Florida.  Terry obtained his bachelor’s in economics in 1968, his master in food and resource economics in 1973, and his juris doctor in 1975 (with honors), all from the University of Florida.
