Orlando, Fla. – December 17, 2020 – Attorney and lobbyist, Christopher L. Carmody, Jr., shareholder in GrayRobinson’s Orlando and Tallahassee law firm offices, was reappointed as General Counsel for the Greater Orlando Sports Commission (GO Sports). As an officer on the Commission’s 2021 Executive Committee, he will help GO Sports continue to bring innovative ideas and leadership to Greater Orlando and expand their mission of bringing a robust calendar of sporting events to Central Florida.
In his role, Carmody will provide counsel when it comes to attracting and managing sports-related events, conferences, and activities that are designed to drive positive economic developments and visitation to the greater Orlando area. Jason Siegel, President and CEO of the Greater Orlando Sports Commission, announced in the Commission’s press release, "We are proud to formally announce our 2021 officers and new members of our board of directors."
Carmody earned his certification as a Designated Professional Lobbyist from the Florida Association of Professional Lobbyists and is an attorney admitted to practice in all Florida state courts. He has substantial experience handling government relations matters, including representation before the Florida legislative and executive branches, purchasing and procurement appeals, and professional licensing.
