Gary I. Resnick Selected as Chair of the Florida League of Cities Technology Leadership Committee

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – December 9, 2013 - Gary I. Resnick, a shareholder in the Fort Lauderdale office of GrayRobinson, P.A., and Mayor of Wilton Manors, FL, has been selected to chair the Florida League of Cities Technology Leadership Committee. The Committee’s goal is to publish a book and present a showcase of new technologies likely to develop in the future and the impact such technologies will have on cities.  Resnick stated:  "This committee’s work is incredibly important and very thought provoking.   For example, we anticipate driverless cars and drones to be commonplace in 10-20 years, but we have to think about how such new technologies will impact land use, public safety, government finances and jobs, transportation and many other public functions.  This committee consists of wonderful dedicated public servants including elected officials, city managers, and city staff and I look forward to working with them on this project."

Resnick focuses his area of practice at GrayRobinson on state and local regulatory affairs, communications and cable law, land use and utilities. He holds bar admissions in the state of Florida, as well as New Jersey, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia. Resnick was previously the Director of Law and Public Policy for MediaOne, one of the largest cable and broadband corporations in the country. In addition, the South Florida Legal Guide has named Gary one of the top lawyers in South Florida and he has been featured in the Daily Business Review as one of the prominent attorneys in the Florida.

He received his Juris Doctor with Honors from Rutgers University and his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University.
