GrayRobinson today announced Shareholder Elio Martinez, Jr. has been appointed to serve as the president of the New York University Alumni Association (NYUAA), effective August 2024. As president of the NYUAA, Elio will also be placed on the NYU Board of Trustees. In this role, Elio will serve as the key liaison between the alumni community and the university, fostering engagement through leadership, advocacy, and the organization of networking opportunities to support and advance NYU’s mission and its global alumni network. NYUAA is a vast network of over 500,000 NYU graduates scattered around the world. It functions as a bridge between former students and their alma mater. Elio is an intellectual property lawyer in the GrayRobinson Miami office, representing global brands in complex intellectual property litigation. He has vast experience handling matters related to trademark counterfeiting, trademark infringement, copyright infringement, patent infringement, and trade secret misappropriation.
