GrayRobinson Welcomes Five Associates to Litigation, Private Client Services, and Real Estate and Land Use Sections

ORLANDO, Fla. – GrayRobinson today announced the addition of Attorneys Alexander “Alex” Carney, Kristen Gray, Zoila Noas, Anabelle Roy, and Johneeka Simpson across three sections and four offices in Florida.

Alexander “Alex” Carney, Private Client Services, Naples

Carney works with the Private Client Services Section to address private wealth preservation, estate planning, and estate and trust administration needs. With extensive experience in asset protection planning, Carney prepares wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advanced directives, and living wills on behalf of clients to meet their estate planning needs. Before practicing law, Carney spent a decade in the financial services sector, advising clients on financial and retirement planning, lending, and estate planning matters. Carney received his Juris Doctor and LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida (UF) Levin College of Law and his Bachelor of Science in Finance from UF. He is a board member of the Gator Club of Naples.

Kristen Gray, Real Estate and Land Use, Tampa

Gray is a valuable asset to the firm’s Real Estate and Land Use Section and works with government clients and business owners to advise them on regulatory and policy matters, as well as assist with eminent domain cases for both property owners and condemning authorities. Additionally, Gray has experience spanning all stages of litigation, both in and out of the courtroom. While in law school, Gray worked as a summer associate at GrayRobinson, where she first began honing her skills in various litigation areas, including family law, labor and employment law, and construction law, laying the foundation for a successful legal career.

Zoila Noas, Litigation, Miami

Noas is a member of the firm’s Appellate and Trial Support Team, focusing on a wide array of practice areas, including commercial and business disputes, maritime, health care, products liability, employment, and negligence. While in law school, where she graduated in the top 5% of her class, Noas served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Migna Sanchez-Llorens. Before joining GrayRobinson, she focused on mass litigation insurance defense, handling hundreds of lawsuits related to personal injury protection claims.

Anabelle Roy, Litigation, Miami

Roy is a member of the firm’s Litigation Section and is committed to delivering efficient and effective representation for firm clients. Her comprehensive legal background includes conducting client meetings and site inspections, drafting dispositive motions, propounding and answering discovery requests, and reviewing documents and medical records. Prior to joining GrayRobinson, Roy served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Lauren F. Louis, gaining invaluable insights into the judicial process. She received her Juris Doctor from UF Levin College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Law and Philosophy from UF.

Johneeka M. Simpson, Litigation, Fort Lauderdale

Simpson has experience handling a diverse range of litigation issues, encompassing complex commercial disputes, class actions, product liability cases, landlord-tenant disputes, and labor and employment matters. While in law school, Simpson served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Kristine Van Vorst in the Eighth Judicial Circuit Court, where she gained invaluable insight and extensive experience with statutory interpretation concerning creditor’s rights and remedies, as well as landlord-tenant disputes. Simpson received her Juris Doctor from the UF Levin College of Law and her Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice, cum laude, from Florida State University. She is a member of The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division.
