GrayRobinson is pleased to share Labor and Employment Deputy Section Chair Stephanie Marchman will present “Elected Officials: The Ethics and Risks in Shifting Roles” during the 50th Annual Public Employment Labor Relations Forum on October 17, 2024, in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Hosted by the City, County, and Local Government Law and Labor and Employment Law Sections of The Florida Bar, the Forum will offer CLE credit to lawyers in attendance.
According to the Forum's brochure, the program is a “unique opportunity to learn from and network with some of the nation’s top labor and employment law professionals . . . [and] is a ‘can't miss’ program for all management and union practitioners alike.” During the Forum, Stephanie’s presentation will focus on elected officials’ roles in the public sector collective bargaining process, their shifting ethical responsibilities due to this role, and the consequences if elected officials fail to heed these responsibilities.
Stephanie is board certified in Labor and Employment Law by The Florida Bar and serves as The Florida Bar Board of Governors Liaison to the Labor and Employment Law Section’s Executive Council. She represents private and public sector employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including providing general labor and employment counsel, engaging in employment and labor agreement negotiations, developing sound employment policies and practices, delivering customized workforce training, conducting workplace investigations, defending employers in labor and employment litigation, and representing parties in non-compete litigation.
