GrayRobinson is proud to announce that Shareholder Hannah Tyson recently presented "PLENARY X - Contractual Indemnity, Vouching In, and Additional Insured Issues" at the Advanced Construction Law Institute 2025 (CLI), hosted by The Florida Bar Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section.
CLI is the preeminent annual legal conference for practitioners of construction law and related fields. Centrally located to maximize attendance, construction lawyers, industry consultants and sponsors from around the state gather annually to learn advanced legal issues and techniques and meet likeminded practitioners. The yearly conference starts with a welcome reception open to all attendees, followed by a day and a half of accredited seminar hours (including a lunchtime presentation), presentation of awards to recognize outstanding contributors in the field of construction law, and additional opportunities to meet advanced construction law practitioners. The seminars cover hot topics confronting construction law practitioners, legislative and legal updates, and practice pointers to help maintain the high standards of legal administration in this complex area of law.
Hannah is board-certified in Construction Law by The Florida Bar and primarily dedicates her practice to construction defect litigation cases throughout Florida. A critical component of her construction law focus is Hannah's evaluation and implementation of risk transfer strategies based on contractual obligations, including defense, indemnity, and additional insured rights, to protect interests of her developer, general contractor, and subcontractor clients. Hannah’s proficiency in cases involving owner- or contractor-controlled wrap insurance policies (OCIP and CCIP), commercial general liability policies, and excess policies allow her to advise clients of the impact complex insurance structures have on litigation outcomes, while simultaneously providing critical evaluation of the alleged construction and design claims at issue in defect lawsuits.
