Paralegal – Patent

Description

GrayRobinson, a full-service law and government consulting firm with 16 offices in Florida and Washington, D.C., has an immediate opening in our Orlando office for a full-time Patent Paralegal. This position provides high-level paralegal and administrative support to patent attorneys.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of patent prosecution experience, including managing a patent docket and filing patent documents
  • Experience administrating most aspects of a patent practice
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks based on deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of USPTO, PCT procedures and electronic filing systems
  • Ability to independently analyze correspondence from the USPTO and foreign patent offices to determine necessary actions 
  • Experience using patent docketing software
  • Experience with foreign patent prosecution
  • Experience assisting accounting with patent invoicing
  • Experience with trademark prosecution is a plus, but not required
