Among other things, during the COVID-19 pandemic the Immigration task force can provide guidance on and assist with the following:
- Advising employers of their legal obligations when changing the terms and conditions of employment of their foreign employees (such as requiring employees to work remotely, or going from full-time to part-time employment)
- Filing amendments to visa petitions for employees whose conditions of employment are changed or unintentionally disrupted as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic
- Advising employers of their legal obligations when lay-off or benching foreign employees
- Filing extensions of stay for foreign nationals who are not able to return to their home countries due to travel restrictions imposed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic
